Antisemitism does not belong in Australia
Since October 7 2023 there has been an extraordinary surge in antisemitism in Australia (and around the world). This ancient hatred, that has been lying mostly dormant beneath the surface of our country, has surfaced all around Australia. We have seen arson attacks of synagogues, targeting Jewish businesses, encampments on universities, defacing Jewish schools and property, physical and verbal attacks on Jewish people, doxxing and targeting Jewish artists and professionals, the list goes on.
Under the flimsy cover of 'anti-zionism' we are seeing ordinary Australians manipulated into outright Jew-hatred. And manipulated into hatred of Australia and western civilization - the very things that drew many of us non-indegenous Australians to move here in the first place!
To persecute a minority group because of their race or religion, or the events in another country, no matter how tragic, tears at the fabric of our cohesive society.
Everyday Australians must stand against this.
